Before You Start
1. Pick the Right Team – Play with friends or family who communicate well and think differently. A mix of logical and creative thinkers is ideal.
2. Listen to the Rules & Story – The game master might drop hints in their instructions or backstory. Pay close attention! Once Inside the Room
3. Search Everything – Check shelves, drawers, under objects, behind pictures—anything that can be moved (unless told otherwise).
4. Communicate Loudly – If you find something interesting, say it out loud. Someone else might have the missing piece!
5. Organize Clues – Keep found items in a central spot so the team can see them. Separate used clues from unused ones.
6. Work in Pairs – Too many people working on one puzzle can be chaotic. Split up to cover more ground.
7. Look for Patterns & Numbers – Many locks use codes, so pay attention to numbers, colors, and sequences.
8. Try Different Combinations – If you're stuck on a lock, try rearranging numbers or letters in a different order.
9. Check Used Clues Again – Sometimes, clues serve more than one purpose. Double-check if you're stuck!
10. Don't Overthink – Most puzzles are logical, not rocket science. If something feels too complicated, try a simpler approach.
Using Hints Wisely
11. Ask for Hints When Needed – Don’t wait too long! If you're stuck for more than 5–10 minutes, use a hint.
12. Know the Hint Rules – Some rooms limit hints, while others let you ask as many as you want.
Time Management
13. Keep an Eye on the Clock – Don't get stuck on one puzzle for too long; move on and come back if needed.
14. Stay Calm & Have Fun – If you panic, you'll waste time. Enjoy the challenge!
